I have a Dynaco 400 with a missing diod block. Thus resulting in a
dynaco. I was wondering if anyone knew of a replacement part and what the spec of the original were? I think it is the same block as the hafler dh 200 but I don't have any specs on that one either.
Help is much appreciated,
thanks,
Bill

I'm sorry I don't have the specs. for the bridge of the Dynaco ST400 for you. I do however own both of those amps. The bridge in the Dynaco should be rated fo 200 volts and 25 amps. I'd go for a 35.amp bridge myself. The Hafler operates at lower voltage and current that the big Dynaco so I don't think they use the same bridge but it could look similar.

I have worked on lots and lots of dyna400's over the years
and have never ever had a diode bridge failure. After putting
in the new bridge, before you turn it on, pop the 4 fuses
and turn it on. One of the main electrolytics might be shorted
in which case something is going to pop, so stand back when
you turn it on.

thanks Bruce ,
that's what I needed to know, I ordered a new 200 volt 35a form digi for a whopping $2 and some change
and thanks Kevin, I will do that. My cousin's went out about four years ago and he had a tech replace it but it was the only thing wrong in his. I hope i am that lucky.
