You may have lost the point Krachkiste.... Rudi, decided to make a different layout
based in Todd Johnson layout..almost the same but with some minor modifications.
The idea is to produce the old amplifier, the Dx Blame ES, having room to change/replace parts to turn it Dx Blame ST circuit.... so... two circuits in the same board...the option belongs to the builder.
The Dx Blame ES uses the NFB..the capacitor is in the board..the Dx Blame ST does not use the NFP capacitor, so, it is to be removed.
This was the "spirit" that moved Rudi and some friends.
The amplifier (circuit, schematic and layout) , the official one, the guaranteed one, is Dx Blame ST is the one made by Todd Johnson and previously produced and tested several times.... this new board, when having the Dx Blame ST schematic assembled will be guaranteed too.... but if assemble Dx Blame ES..guarantee will be void.
This amplifier layout was something Rudi and a small group of friends tried to ressurrect..to bring the Dx Blame ES to live again.... also producing a marriage... in the same board, room, indications that allows the builder to decide the one he want to assemble... at least, this was the target.
I have said and i will repeat...the Dx Blame ES is not guaranteed, it has some technicall mistakes, some wrong decisions taken into the schematic...but... despite that, it sound better than the Dx Blame ST that is the official, safest and more technically correct schematic.
You, dear Krachkiste, should read more..to know what happens in the thread, because this was hardly explained, and several times,written in this thread and also in the Dx Blame ST thread, builders thread too... and it is proved you do not use to read the entire thread... an even this way you post questions already answered that you could have readed saving me time and saving me work to explain you, once again.
The use of Dx Blame ES schematic is "up to you"....a "builder decision".... builder "take the risk"... and i think they can, because there are several Dx Blame ES, despite received some criticisms, that are operating fine and super stable...but, as it is not perfect technically, i do not take responsability and also do not feel confortable to point it to guys to build.... this way, having troubles, people cannot complain or, for sure, i will not accept complains..i said not indicated, not entirelly safe...but even this way..by an accident of the destiny, It is the best audio amplifier i have ever listened too..with drunk or defective electrons circulating, wrong circuit decisions taken, wrong technics applied, mistakes, slow downs and all flaws, it is the best in sonics, and able to beat all i could listen.... try to assemble and compare with others and you will know what i am talking about..not building will never know.
The unbeatable one!... sadly, does not match theorists and tecnocrats ideas and they have worked deeply to burn that amplifier image...i had to change the name to save it to be smashed in public... at least..these will not build...they will build the ST.... good one, but not the best one.... that's my revenge... technocrats will have the second, nor the first!
The real clever guys, also the ones read the thread, will understood my message, they will take the risk and will build the Dx Blame ES..the non guaranteed one ...but the one is a ticket to your best sonic dreams!

The main tragedy, that drives me deeply sad, the amplifier layout, topologie, EF output... and so one, are all them, decisions from Doctor Self used in several schematics he published...so..if i am wrong... Doctor Self was wrong too.....there are some extra capacitors Doctor Self have not used..but the main frame..is Blameless.... so..people criticise and have the arrogance to discuss Doctor Self decisions!..their main teacher..this means, no one is safe from this guys that goes buzzing around spreading these things.

Are you producing the PCB silkscreen with the values on it? If so, I would recommend to use the component names only. The values will change through refinement or error and so your PCB is no longer accurate.
Please remove my name from the PCB, as I have not contributed to this project.

I had some time today (it is an official holiday today in Germany) and took a closer look at Volker's second board.
You remember: one of the boards of Volker's second DX Blame worked like designed, the other one did not.
What I saw at once was a resistor - "melting away".
This is R22, the rail-resistor, having a typcial value of 150Ohm in the ES version of the DX Blame family of AMPs.
The rail-resistor connects to Q7, the 1.st VAS, which is driven by Q6, a BC546 NPN - transistor.
Since I couldn't spot any solder error or misplaced component in this area, I un-soldered Q6 and look what I found at this position:
a BC556, the complementary brother of the BC456, a PNP - type.
That must not be.
Human error.

boards, nor parts, nor boards plus parts, no kits, no assembled amplifier.
This forum is public and solid state cannot be used as a market place.
Forum has the place for business, and the space there, i suppose, is paid...we have to pay to use.
So, we cannot use this forum as outdor for our products, UNLESS, if they are for free.
I use to make advertising to builders...inviting them to build....for free....saving schematics and layout and etching board inside their homes in an amateur way...my advertising is not paid because the product is not paid too.
I cannot be responsable if others take the files and start to sell....i cannot be responsable by other guy's behavior, nor punished for breaking rules as by myself i am clean!...not doing things wrong, not using dirty tricks... doing anything dirty or forbidden.
In China there are boards and kits...i have anything with those guys..they are using brand name Dx..but i have not authorized and i have not association with them..i do not even know the pirates are doing this....in my point of view they have stolen from our forum, the plans, schematics and layout...this is not my problem or responsability...i said will not help customers that are buying these boards.
It is obvious and very clear and very fair we cannot use this forum as our own market place without pay for the advertising space...as when we earn money we are making business..and we should go to the business forum place.... If we post amplifiers to attract forum folks to come to you and sel...it is too much dirty trick, and i think forum management should punish, close threads and banish the guy.

No dear Ian Finch, Blame ES are not exploding this way
They have some non perfect design decisions, some slow down capacitors, some intermitent small oscilations into the positive rail waveform, 500 milivolts peak to peak high frequency oscilations...but not exploding ...not so bad that way..not alike what this pigeon can do when inside the computer case:

There are several Blame ES circuits assembled around this wide world we are living...in Europe we have some...also mid east and Brazil... and they are working fine without explosions.

I know at least 5 DX Blame AMPs (ES - as well as ST - versions) that run without troubles, work as designed, since 3-4 months
and produce the most beautiful sound you can imagine, you ever heard.
Humans make errors: I - produced a short between the VBE-multiplier and the heatsink, Volker used a PNP instead of a NPN, ...
Errors are natural - but can be avoided if you do your job very carefully.
What you have written -about explosion, hospital, about what to expect - is silly things in my eyes.

I have tried Maouna..... i do not like the sound.... i thougth once...i do not think

Do you like CFP?....a good idea to design one, open a thread, publish, make your advertising, build it, show it in pictures...produce a nice schematic, voltage charts, current charts, show simulator results, answer questions, produce layout to etch boards to toner transference, also to photo chemical processing, produce Bill of Material..open a site and publish these informations, write instructions how to adjust, how to debug, how to fix, produce supply and go ahead with your CFP..forum will love that...do it!
P3a may be nice to you..go there man....he is not using EF.

Some folks have virtual pleasure, operating software, simulators and these things...i think material, solid real things is better, as they use to give me more pleasure...but people is different...there are room in this world for all kind of guys.
The virtual guys, in my point of view may be excelent to seduce women...but they will never make it!
