Hi everyone

I am attempting to build a projector using the OHP + 15" LCD method as its the cheapest way but still has some good results.

Right now I have a newish 3m 1750 OHP and I have a Ezio Flexscan L365 15" monitor on the way in the mail.

Im kind of a newb where this is concerned but I love learning about this stuff. My monitor has a DVI-D input and a RGB 15 pin. Id REALLY like to be able to hook up my DVD player to this thing and not my laptop. Ive seen cables that run DVI-D to RCA and RGB to RCA, but Ive heard I would need some third party unit to enable the monitor to talk with the DVD player? Is this true or can I simply run the cables? thanks

hellooooo

hello? anyone? I can simplify this by asking

what do I need to send my dvd player signal to my LCD's RGB or DVI inputs?

some sort of tv tuner? a reverse vga convertor? just cables? any answer would be very appreciated

its me again

hi I have found a cheapo adapter on ebay that LOOKS like it could go either way

http://cgi.ebay.com/RGB-Scart-to-Co...ryZ32846QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It has an input/output switch, and all the right connections. My DVD player also has svideo out. there has to be a way to do this without using a PC in between, it seems like you can go every other way except straight to monitor.

let me know if you guys have found a solution to this
