Dune smart upgrade

Hi And thanks for reading this post.

I am using an old dune smart D1 streamer, running passthrough to an arcam avr600 reciever via hdmi. I don't bother with 3d or 4k, just bluray video and dts ha ma audio decoded by the arcam.

Would any more modern streamers give me an increase in audio and video quality over the dune.

I also looked for basic media player with internal HDD (seems rare option for new product), then finally decided to buy this HiMedia Q10 Android TV Box

I put 3.5" internal hdd, connected to my full hd led (dont care and dont need 3d or 4k), its based on android and very fast response. already built in with Kodi (never use it anyway) and you can install android apps. really recommended to buy.

Anyone have a clue.

I read the newer dunes have a better processor which affects picture quality a little, but that's all i know.

Is the dune d1 a simple media player in the first place
