Greetings everyone,
So, why is it, with a 440V secondary with a resistance of 31 ohms into a bridge, with just a 220U cap and the "standard" 5K load, do I get 473vdc and then if I uncheck soft start I get 584vdc.Which of these is correct?

Thanks,
Ray

Soft start adds about 1/2 second to the rise time. Total time to reach steady state depends capacitance and serial resistance. I don't think you'll need 10 seconds, but it won't hurt to try it, then you'll know how much you need to see the output.
