Dukane 4003 and 3m 9700....which has a triplet lens?

Do they both have triplet lenses? I think so but am not sure. Does anyone know somewhere where I can figure out what overhead projectors have triplet lenses and what do not?

On the Dukane website it looked like all of their OHP's had either singlet or duplet(2) lenses. I couldn't find any specifics on the Dukane 4003.

The 3M 9700 has excellent specs, check it out at 3M United States . It has a high resolution triplet and high lumens.

There is an eBay auction saying it has a triplet lens, but it is the only auction stating what kind of lens the 4003 has.

Are they lying? I have not found any contradicting information but no affirming information either.

I've heard of the 4003 having a triplet (maybe the 3 in 4003?) but have found no solid information.

If anyone has a 4003 or knows about it PLEASE help!

Also- there's a difference between a regular triplet and a "high resolution" triplet? How much better is a triplet than a doublet? A singlet? The 3M 9700 costs considerably more than the 4003 which is why im asking.

However, is it possible to do a lamp mod if the socket, etc are non-working? (Which is possible here)

If the the lighting does not work, can I impliment my own?
