dual transformer power supply

Hi... can anybody help me with this power supply? which is much better to use? power supply 1 or power supply 2 schematic? please help me decide regarding this matter tnx....

my vote goes to ps1...

you'll have to add resistors each across c1-c4 (act as voltage divider;to equalize voltage on each caps,also as a bleeder) & spike eliminator caps on the output..

What is that high voltage for?

ps2 won't guarantee voltage equalization and it draws dc from the transformers when the load is unbalanced. Resistors on ps1 can work if you want to use the 63V caps, but this is even better:

I like the schematic proposed by megajocke. Furthermore, if you are planning a high power class AB amplifier, consider class G or class H instead, because your power supply will already provide the voltage taps required and the amount of heat produced and the stress on the output stage will be greatly reduced.

i have not tried ps1. but i tried ps2. i used it with single transformer. so i am planning to used two transformer... like this.. i have one here clone amplifier... 500watts @ 8ohms. rated supply 100+/- vcc.

thats a voltage doubler not recommended at high currents..more unstable;the supply output drops more than the ps1 ckt.
