I don't know if this the right place for this topic but, regardless, the phenomenon interests me. I have recently changed the amp on my test rig. I now use an AV amp.
Since the change I can now hear the internal speaker of my computer (because its out of time (ahead) of the main output).
Could this be caused by the inherent delays of DSP?

Possibly. Is the AV amp fully digital, i.e. the analogue inputs go in through an ADC, then through a processor, before coming back out through a DAC, if so there will be a round trip delay.
Is there a 'bypass' or no processing option?
Is there any indication of the amp's round trip delay in its specifications?
