DS1666 based preamplifier

Hello!
I just get DS1666 chips and I'm plannig to build a preamp.
I have never been used this kind of chips so I need some advices and comments... 🙂 Have anyone used this chip for own projects?

I hope you know how to use/program a microcontroller like a PIC or AVR. Otherwise that IC is going to be useless.

It needs to be controlled by a microcontroller, which also means youll need to build some kind of a display (LCD, LED, etc) and at least up/down buttons.

Would this work to control the DS1666 ?
Just two buttons(up/down) or a rotary sensor...
