Driving double coil woofer

Hello,
I'm trying to realize a sub as a part of multiamp loudspeaker that I will cut at about 150 Hz.
I have for this a pair of Monacor SPH-380 that have 4+4 ohm 250watts double coil.
There are problems to drive each coil with an amp of, I say, 200 w
rather than with an amp of 400 w driving the parallel of coils?

Series

Don't connect the two coils in parallel, or you'll have a 2 ohm speaker.
Make a series connection, and you'll get an 8 ohm woofer, much easier to drive.
Then you can use the 400w amp.
