although a few fixes needed. Waiting on my G5 any day :hot: with optical in and out for sound.

It does, i keep checking software update because i expect the fixes to come fast. I'm jealous of the G5 -- i still have a little over a year left on the lease on my dual 867 ... and then we'll have to update my wife's cube before i can get a G5 🙁

Unless of course i strike a windfall.

Well ill take 10x over 9 because x is more for web-pages and stuff and is more secure and alot better. your running another app in 9 to have a web-server im using one app the os : O ) and APACHE has changed alot and is nicer

OS X is not as secure as OS 9 -- it is UNIX, And what is apache but an ap running under X. True it is included with the OS, but the amount of work you have to do to have it even come close to doing what WS4D has built-in more than pays for it -- way more.

Ok let me get this straight. You say it is hard to IE

IE? Internet Exploder?

Drop your index files pictures and folders into a folder turn on web sharing and have it work. You say this is hard ?

To turn it on is easy... to find, or write and add all the extra features (CGIs) to make it come even close to WS4D would take WAY more time than i've put into the server since day 1.

a few things, some on topic, some off. 😀

1. (on topic) i think it is a cool idea. i will keep checking to see when it has more drivers on it

2. (off topic) i have bene reading the reast of your site, and i have found that you have a spelling error. on the caption of the "Gainclone 3: New Configuration" image, it says "bnew layout" instead of "new layout".

3. what does the PIC do in your tube buffered gainclone? produce a pulse?

4. how did you create your website? is it all frames and javascript? (on this subject, i agree with JasonL slightly, as those dotted lines are unconfortable to look at), on a more positive note, cool site. 🙂

5. i got sick of people (usually people new to computers 😀) moaning about not upgrading software, so i changed my website to a boring super-compatible one. 😀 (no offence meant to anyone).

6. i agree with both Bill and Arx, i dont do subtle, and white on black is cool (see my old runescape clan site, http://www.avidgamers.com/RSBrotherhood/ log onto it using login:guest and password:guest if you want to see the inside, including cool navigation [well i think so anyway]).

Thanks Matt.
I'll sort the spelling mistake out soon.

The PIC controls the input from the switch, and pulses the light. When the light flashes, it is powering up, and then goes on continuously when the final relay is activated. It controls two relays (one that switches the power & heater to the tube and the other that switches the speaker output). It counts 15 secs for the tube to power up. Finally, it has audio signal detection via the comparator. That means that I don't have to switch it off - it does it automatically - and then switches back on when I (for instance) turn on the TV, or CD player.

Nice site BTW - I need to learn PHP since I now own www.digital-waves.co.uk which is on a PHP enabled server (alas no ASP yet).

Thanks,
Gaz

If you need any help let me know i'm learning php too i like it a lot better than html : O )

php is easier in my Thoughts

how are you learning it? a book? do you know of any good on-line tutorials?

I have ported the site to tables instead of frames. It took long enough - and yes - the tables are essential! 😉

It should be up and running normally. I should not that the Flash and my lovely colour scheme still stand. As I said, I'm offering the content and concept rather than the packaging.

I will add Driver addition soon.

Thanks,
Gaz
