Wow.. these drivers are inefficient... The PL10D4 is about 76db/1v.... I wonder how linear these drivers actually are... probably not at all!

Why wouldn't it be good enough for music? Edit: Actually, I just looked and I think I'd like the adire products in this range. BTW, sensitivity is 92db/w, according to specs.
That changes everything! Of course I got my AV12 for free by winning a contest some time ago so I'm not exactly in the market for new woofers.
SPL/2.83V vs. SPL/watt
The pdf spec just gives the number 92db, and no mention of units. I suspect this is 92db/2.83V, which since the dual voice coils in parallel give 2 ohms, is 86db/watt
