Hi so im new here. Im building an opto 7 and it looks like some of the resistors from Digi-Key that I need are either discontinued or have to be ordered in bulk of 1000 or more and I only even need 4 of them lol. My question is can I order another brand of resistor for my project from another site or does it have to be that certain one in the parts bom from Digikey? I'm missing part numbers
RC12JB240k-ND 240k 1/2W 5% Axial
RC12JB100K-ND 100K 1/2W 5% Axial
and RC12JB1K50-ND 1.5K 1/2W 5% Axial
Any help would be great 🙂

I'm doing the exact build and this post showed up in my search. Would you be able to point me in the right direction of where you found those resistors?
Yeah the res I just used a different brand. If you cant finf them on digikey I at this other shop online. Im in bed and not at my computer right now but ill give you the name tomorrow. What you really might have a hard time on is finding those stupid grayhill switches. Part number 71BDF30-01-2-AJN. Ive been struggling so much to find this part that I actually might just have to start a different build until grayhill makes them again. Its a 2 to 6 rotary switch and they're non existent for another 6 months. Bummer. Im looking for a viable replacement switch and im 3 weeks looking still no luck. Hopfully someone oit there has some info. Lets help each other out of we can. Have you done lots of builds before this one?
Sorry I meant to say I was at work and not on my computer. Ill be home soon and share the info . oh wait, you can find them at amplified parts.com. Just remembered
Cheers man! After I posted this I was able to find them all with other various brands.
Yes, grayhill switches are all backordered at the moment alot of diy places out as well.
There are a few parts like sowter audio transformers that I have to wait a few months for also.
Might be able to get the psu up and going sooner than later though.
I'm all for the help/ sharing of info for this build.
I have done a few like AML pultec (which had great instructions, pretty easy to follow)
Also made a stereo SSL EQ, bit trickier hooking up psu transformer ect and a mistake ridden pcb.
This drip project might be a challenge tho. I did email a guy who has already built one already, so at least I can varify a few things past him and pass the info on.
