I have a dream vision DL 500 projector for the last 5 years.
It worked well till recently. It is in France (South) and I can find no one here to fix it.
The problem is when I switch it on it starts with some light in the lamp and then when it tries to fire up the lamp fully it cannot do it and then just stops. The lamp is working, in fact I have a new replacement lamp.
It is possible that it is a problem with the lamp ballast but I am not an electrician so I do not know this for a fact.
It is a pity that I cannot get the part as i paid approx 4000 pounds for it when new (I know now the new ones are much less), but it will kill me to just junk it.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
