this is for those of you who may not know and are thinking of trying this setup....... i tried using 2 fresnels in a CRT projector. one lens was pressed up against the monitor and the other was about a foot away. i saw this plan somewhere on the internet- DON'T try it. the picture i so dim, it's almost no existant, plus the picture is still upside down. the image DOES NOT show right side up.
i also tried many other combinations, like pressing the two lens together and placing them different distances away from the monitor. again the brightness was extremely poor and the image was displayed upside down. i was completely disappointed, i at least expected the image to be displayed correctly.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why do you want to put fresnels on a CRT projector? Do you have a CRT that doesn't have an image flip option? CRTs aren't always the brightest and many require a dark room, but they have superior picture quality to LCD.
You only need one lens for the 100" thing, and yes its not that bright etc, but it is ok for £5... but is not worth concetating on... i show how to do it, but now im more on the lcd kinda way of thinking... www.diyprojectiontv.tk

Ahh! Now I understand. I bought two of those fresnels on ebay a while back and tried it on a 13-in TV. That's when I discovered this forum.

DAAA! Never buy fresnels on ebay! You can get them for about $1.50 from the manufacturer at http://www.3dlens.com
