After taking delivery of 3 x SDS-254 kits it's now time to decide on how to house these units. The first stereo kit is going inside an old Dom Ruinart champagne case. The case it sturdy and surprisingly tough enough to hold the transformer. RCA and Speaker binding posts are on order so no external connections yet.

Hi Nigel,
As these amp modules run quite efficient I'm going to measure the internal temps whilst running the amp quite hard. I'm toying with the idea of fixing a lever which is coupled to a thermometer. The warmer the internal temp, the more it opens the lid. Need to find out the cost of fabricating such a device.

Are you going to vent the case to let heat out ?
