DOH! BMW Causing Amp to make POP sound on Turn on/off....fix?

Hi,

I've got a 2010 with CIC and HIFI. I've upgraded all the speakers, added a DSP and a 6 channel Focal amp.

The way my car turns the radio on or off is causing a loud POP through the speakers. It happens immediately after unlocking the car and then about 30 seconds or a minute after the car is locked.

Unfortunately, the amp doesn't have a 'soft' turn on/off. It does have two options for turn on, the REM power wire and high level btl through the RCA's.

I do not know if the BMW CIC has high level BTL output.

Anyone run into this issue, and if so, what was the solution?

Thanks.

No engine noise causing an issue. the DSP is a 6to8 Mosconi and it's not yet hooked up. The DSP has the ability to take a high or low pass input, but in my case since I've got a 2010 the speaker wire outputs are not amplified, unlike the 2009 and earlier models.

The voltage of the remote on wire is 12.55v.

One thing I read is that the Focal 6.900 has two ways to turn on, the preferred way is with the REM on/off power wire. The second is an RCA sense for BTL....but, my radio doesn't output via a BTL format. Someone said on a different post that having both working at the same time can cause the POP sound....but unfortunately the amp doesn't have a sense switch to turn on or off.
