Does tweeting from opposite sides work or does it create cancellation?

I seriously doubt he is asking about dual concentric compression driver.

He is asking if he can have two compressiin drivers pointed in opposite direction.

Sure he can...just like it was mentioned. He can have back fireing driver in the same polarity (bipole) or oposite polarity (dipole).

He is asking about cancellation. Its not so much and issue, since highs are very directional due to short wave. Completely different than for mid and bass.

This has been done countless times. If he would search he would find. I think he is just asking questions.

Linkwitz added second tweeter fireing back to his dipole speakers.

Or you can use this ( not quite the same what OP was asking for)

In this 4way dipole, you notice two tweeters on top, facing oposite, to create dipole.

Looks pretty much like inspired by Kreskowsky's NaO Note designs http://musicanddesign.speakerdesign.net/NaO_Notediscus.html

Vituixcad man kimmosto used two CD-horns in one of his speakers, the rear horn was pointed 45deg up. It was to add reflected sound, to compensate the high directivity of the horn.

My own tests and measurements of backside dome tweeter showed practically no effect in frontal hemisphere, but more consistent decay. (Different eq settings)

There was one commercial dipole speaker, with dipole bass, dipole mid, where they used compression driver as tweeter, but they removed back chamber cover. To make it dipole. I tried that once with my onkyo horn tweeter, it was easy to remove. But it increased distortion due to excessive movement. I am not going to find the details, as i doubt op cares. He is just asking.
