Do you know of any recordings on CD that have a trumpet sound that is extremely similar to the trumpet that plays for the first 67 seconds of the following song.

I actually thought about buying software that will let me loop those 67 seconds so they just repeat again and again so that I can fill an entire 60 minute CD of just those 67 seconds. But I don't want to wear it out and get sick and tired of my all time favorite trumpet recording.
Whatever you can suggest that is as close as possible in the mood, melody, style, ambiance, tone, tempo, texture, etc...I would hugely appreciate.
I have surely searched high and low and i've already spent money on various CD's that were not close enough.
thanks
Eddie

Nothing comes immediately to mind. You'll have to continue seeking out your favorite trumpet ballads. I'm not sure what you'll find of solo trumpet. The renowned Randy Brecker plays that Dire Straits intro, so you might start there. There's more to choose from, Satchmo, Miles Davis and Clifford Brown to Wynton Marsalis or even flugelhorn players (Chuck Mangione most famous among these).
