Does the Speaker Level input to a sub amp get converted to the line level input ?

Just wondering if I can run from my speaker outs on my main amp to the Speaker level in on the sub amp then internally add speaker level wiring to go to a coax passive crossover? If the hi levels go straight to an attenuation circuit for the sub I shouldn't lose any signal nor have any degradation right?

I'm building a floorstander with a rear facing sub driver and plate amp with a coax up top.

If the sub has speaker level, mustn't be any trouble. In any case try starting with the lowest possible level, (at zero volume ideally) and increase it slowly.
