Does more damping increase sound quality?

I have a pair of Boston CR8s. The published frequency response 48Hz to 20kHz. But I have them paired with B&W 10" subwoofer. This means the Bostons are no longer to required to make a contribution below 90hz. Would they benefit from more stuffing?

Lol good one Allen , My socks stink horrible.

Far as OP if the box is currently unlined, then yes it will help to add some.
More effective for mids and you can pretty stuff to holy heck in a mid chamber.
Light to heavy lining for ported is fine, calms down upper resonance.
Below certain frequencies or low frequency considered less effective.
