Does CHN-110 have a hot enough top end to work in a "Karlson" ?

Dunno, to be honest -probably only one way to be sure. It's not a particularly HF-biased driver, but then, it's got a direct coupled coil so it's acting more or less as a mechanical coax, with the central dustcap serving as a dome tweeter, so I suspect it may hold up better than some.

I tried it some time ago in an "XKi" box designed for 8eta8A (Eminence woofer) - that box's tuning (60Hz) came in ~10Hz lower than anticipated due to its shelf vent boundary effects plus vent length extension from the aperture plate. The result was horrible and I even heard some metallic cahracter in sine sweeps.
I gave it to m y woodworking friend- who hs n't had time to try a proper simple cabinet. Physcially its one of the most beautiful drivers I've ever seen.
