Hello, I saw this Amplifier on several very recent YouTube videos - unfortunately either the person that posted the video , or YouTube has turned the comments off so there is no way to ask any questions - the Title says BA-60 Main PCB Test.... the amp is on a small PCB and it appears to just have four output devices ... it sound good as far as one can tell on YouTube videos.

Thank you, I think your right about that but sure looks a lot smaller without the case - has anyone heard one??
There is one on my workbench right now. It has some damage to one of the front switches and rear circuit breakers but is otherwise functional. I plan on doing some distortion measurements with the original electrolytic capacitors and then afterward with new replacements. It looks like NKK still sells similar switches but nobody has them in stock. Haven't done any listening yet as I don't trust the original caps.
Ok did a quick test with all the original components and the left side has much higher distortion than the right. The right side pretty much agrees with the numbers from the French website.

Hi astouffer , It would be great to hear what you think of the sound of the Amplifier once you are able to replace the original capacitors with some good replacements and get it up and running.
- The amplifier sound great in the video but it is always difficult to make real judgements using a YouTube Video., it has me very intrigued though. - there isn't any explanations as to why he made the videos....
Are you a professional technician, or a Audiophile / diy equipment builder ?

- seems like he is showing how good it sounds....
- But he may have made some modifications to the circuit too . . .

It is a clone of Sansui Ba-60 (1968) and the group-buy of whole amp./ parts was over in Taiwan.
It is made to as close to the orinigal as possiple, same circuit, same Cap/Risistor value, but of couse some parts with different brand for some reasons.

There are several sites offering free service manual downloads for Sansui BA60. Some have nasty marketing gotchas but this worked fine, quick and easy. Don't forget to search and select the correct manual from the index before you try downloading: http://www.hifi-manuals.com/Sansui
Hi Ian Finch, thank you for the manual, it looks like they Go from B-77 to BA-2000 , no BA60 .....
The amp looks interesting, so I was actually hoping that I might be able to contact the Group Buy in Japan to see if they had any boards left... but can't find it.

Funny that the link I posted had a BA60 file when I checked it. Here's another site that I tested 3 times already: https://www.vintageshifi.com/repertoire-pdf/pdf/telecharge.php?pdf=Sansui-BA-60-Service-Manual.pdf
If that doesn't nail it, there's something wrong or blocked by your search engine but there are still more sites that have the manual. It may be old but it's still out there and popular, probably because its so simple.
