Does anyone have measurements for a TD15M in an OB?

I wouldn't need them to go below 100 Hz, so extension into the first two octaves is of no concern. I have a pair of the TD15M's already so please no suggestions that I get Dipole 15's instead. I'm just exploring different implementation options and do like me some OB, so if the TD15M's would be suitable I'd damn sure give 'em a go. I have four IB15's to provide LF support (though I'm not sure how I would use them...slot loaded OB maybe or OB with some serious wings....open to suggestions).

Thanks,
Michael

I did a quick sim on this. The response depends very much on the size of the OB used. I threw in 24"W, 48"H with the driver centered. The combined OB baffle response and driver free air response falls off around 200Hz (it's about -3dB there) and at 100Hz it's down about 8-9dB and slowly rolling off at 6dB/oct. Passband response is achieved around 250Hz or a little higher. If you can cross over your bass drivers this high I would suggest trying that. A smaller OB will have even more bass droop.

On a positive note, the driver is very sensitive and your ears will bleed before you exceed Xmax (e.g. 115dB @ 200Hz from 100W input only requires about 1mm of excursion, Xmax=6mm).

The Fs+Qts combination of the TD15M (35Hz+0.33) is't well suited low for OB use down to 100Hz (less than 2 octaves above Fs). But if you use it above 200Hz on a large-ish baffle it will work OK.

I know you wanted a measurement but I doubt that you will get what you are after. Some modeling can clear up the picture a bit, so I posted this response. Have fun!
