No, mine was ALWAYS distorted!
Also, how good will a cap hold on, with soldering and desoldering ? I mean is it ok to take them off the board to test it? Or once removed it wil be damaged forever due to the soldering iron heat ? Problem is all the leads are bent outwards so removing them needs bit more time to melt the solder off the leads where it is in contact with the board
I would say so since it didn't move with the tweeter when you tried it in the other box.
It might be worth resoldering the solder joints on the crossover board at this point to see if that fixes it.
I never imagined a problem can happen with just soldering. Optically all leads from components and tightly fitted to the board. But still I would give it a try by reheating the joints to have a good flow

But this issue happened just suddenly one day while playing. Can a solder joint go bad all of a sudden ? Or it can happen only gradually ?
It can happen suddenly.
I'm not certain that that's what it is, but it's an easy thing to try and I've had bad solder joints cause strange issues before that don't make a lot of sense.

Clip On Heat Sink | HT-156
Soldering accessories clip or clamp on heat sink, a few different styles

Clip the heat sink onto the wire/lead between where you solder or un-solder and the component body. This is usually made of aluminum so it quickly draws heat from ever reaching the component. You can use a solder sucker or solder wick to help remove solder more quickly. I use both usually; start with the solder sucker then finish with solder wick.

The ARTA Limp manual shows the various ways you can measure. The probe with voltage divider I referred to is on p7 and p8, in stereo that is. The ARTA site has manuals in German too (falls Sie das lieber hätten 😉 ) . But in essence the voltage divider is perfectly ok for voltage measurements.

Thanks! Very good to know for sure!
