I hold the extreme position that the earth is round. Meanwhile, flat-earthers hold the extreme position that the earth is flat. Since we both hold extreme positions, we must both be incorrect, because of course the truth can't possibly be at an extreme, but instead somewhere in between.

This is true...(and also out of my league, but I'm parroting somebody who's answered this for me in the past), but the Klein Bottle itself is a 2 dimensional manifold.

It cannot be embedded in 3D, it requires 4D as you said.

That's enough....I'm back out!

I think it was a differential geometry course where we proved it. Once you build up the machinery (manifolds, mappings, certain theorems, etc), the proof is trivial.

Man, that was a long *******' time ago.
