I am fixing a power supply and the caps are supposed to be 470uf 35v 105c low ESR high ripple current. I have on hand 470uf 100v 105c but not low ESR. Do 2 caps that are the same except for there voltage ratings have different ESR and max ripple current? Will the 100v cap have lower esr higher ripple?
Usually no. You may look at datasheet of a similar cap type. If power supply is high-frequency (dc-dc) type then it is not good to use general application type caps, because they won't live long.
Just looked at a 2 kemet data sheets caps the same exept voltage.

This kinda makes sense as bigger packages should decrease the Z and higher voltages means more current. So depends a lot on size. So a higher voltage cap that is the same size might have lower ESR, and impedance.
