I'm not interested in LCD solutions,
but i 've to see the great job made on the site by diyers, a videoprojector based on a texas dmd chip can be intersting http://www.dlp.com/dlp_technology/dlp_technology_products.asp . In my opinion a DIY project have to make me dream. I'don't like the idea to use a colored wheel synchronised with the chip but tri-dmd without the wheel could be nice !

The prism can be a difficulty, when i saw a tri-crt i tjink that i can make something like this based on dmd, in this case a keystone correction must be made...
but a Mono dlp could be also very interesting project to start, the resolution of the last chip from Texas is 1400*1050
