I've just learned that Arny Krueger died earlier last year. He posted here in recent years as arnyk.
I recall first seeing his posts in the mid-to-late 1990s in the newsgroup rec.audio.tech, and read his posts in many online technical audio places since. He had a website where he reviewed and tested computer soundcards:

and later he ran this PCABX site:
