Hi everybody!
Since 12 years, I own a pair of Totem Sttaf. I love the sound of Totem and the philosophie of "Small with a Big sound".
Since I want to build a home theater system, I would like to DIY the satellite speaker. The best match with my front speaker would be the Totem Mite. I love diy, and I am a woodworker, so I'll really love to built it myself. I have a good idea on the enclosure construction (the Sttaf a the grand sister of the Mite), but I don't find any informations about the drivers and the crossover.
Anyone could tell me the drivers use in totem Mite ?
Thanks alot
P.S. Sorry for my english

I just recently had to replace a woofer in a customers Mite. I searched everywhere for a match and could not find one. I suspect they are Vifa but could not find a direct replacement. I ended up buying it from Totem for $65.00 plus GST.
As an aside - Parts Express is selling what looks like the same thing for around $6.00. However they are 8 ohm and I wasn't going to take a chance that they weren't the same.

I know that the supposely modify the driver, but in the entry level, someone tell me that they used "standard" driver and they are at cheap price.
When you open the speaker, they aren't serial number or compagnie name on the driver?!
What is the partsexpress part that look like the original driver!?
since it's only for satellite, I can affort that they don't sound like the real one héhéhé
Thanks for your fast reply.

I think the tweeter is a 19mm unit from ScanSpeak:

I don't know the woofer, but Totem used Gradient (www.intertechnik.de) in the past:

the bass driver looks quite like Peerless to me (and peerless use the term sandwich cone) but without the cut chassis.
I think that Totem used some peerless woofers in the past (CSC or CSX series) but the mite woofer don't look like a CSX. (the dustcap is not the same)
Also, the tweeter is not the Scan speak D2010, it's a 1 inch tweeter.
Désolé!

Doh, I was looking at the Arro when I made my comment.
The 6 dollars speaker at Parts Express look like thje Mite's Driver, but the dust cap seems to be bigger and the specs don't really fit with the specs of the Mite.

Chances are that even if you find a driver that is similar, it won't have the same parameters and freq reponse.
So in this case, you may be better to start a design of your own.
