Great! Now, what the heck are you talking about? You mean the charging was not working and you rewired the end? Hence the black tape? (Well, too neat, shrink wrap?)
The cable broke a long long time ago, I used it until it stopped working (charging) and so Yes I just rewired the end. The rubber thingy (stress-relieve) didn‘t make so I used shrink wrap for a slight rest of stress-relieve (or a reminder to be careful in the future)...
The connection is pretty smart, with spring loaded contacts and stuff!

Just make sure the solder-joints don’t become very big, and that hot and neutral never touch each other (this is obvious, but the space demands extra care)
Also, to get the fix done better, I recommend to take care of the rubber stress-relieve. I wasn‘t able to get it back through the plastic case and ruined it while trying to get it through the hole. You may want to enlarge the hole 0.1 mm with a file or a bit of sandingpaper. There’s a metal-ring (a clamp of sorts) embedded in the rubber-piece, I removed it and mounted it separately.
The plastic case was kinda glued onto the tiny PCB with a translucent stuff. (It’s actually not really glue, but it helps retaining the case... could be silicone or similar)

planet10, here is the English version. Thanks myleftear for the info. I have repaired quite few cable issues in the past for people (cats have chewed the cable, or people are just plain careless ....), but never had to worry about the connector.

I've seen replacement connectors with pigtails for sale on either aliexpress or ebay. I've also used e6000/goop to repair strain reliefs in the past. For the Apple Magsafe chargers I put a 2-3" long piece of tape on one side, applied the glue all around the wire and then wrapped the tape around. The tape acts like a mold. Once it's dried remove the tape. I then used wire cutters and sand paper to make it look pretty. Heatshrink would also work to make it look clean
Another reason why diy rules: there‘s nothing without a creative solution!
