For Sale DIY Raspberry Pi KIT

Things you have for sale.
Your new design looks like the display is not coming off the rPi display connector. That is a show-stopper for anyone using Roon and ropieee. But otherwise, it looks like a nice design and build.

Would the rPi official display fit in that cutout? That would make ropiee possible again in the new enclosure.

Thanks. Good catch. The new version has a big upgrade on the display - it's been upgraded from a TFT LCD to a QLED, so the display interface will be changed from DSI to HDMI. The display quality has been greatly improved and it looks vivid and sharp.

But yes, Ropieee is no longer supported. However if you are using Roon, you still have the options of Volumio and Moode Audio.

IT uses the raspberry pi display connector, which is a good sign. The pecanpi player also uses a non-official display hooked to that buss and it works with ropieee. I'm about to order one and if you are patient, I'll let you know if it works with ropieee, but as you can see I'm a betting man and I'm going to bite.

Hi Sheldon (and others)
I am wondering if you were able to get the 5" touchscreen working with Ropieee. The latest version of Ropieee doesn't detect the screen, nor does the current version seem to allow SSH into the box to configure via a console. If you've had any luck, please let me know what version of Ropieee you are using.

Thanks

I'd love to participate in this opportunity once the Raspberry Pi 4b becomes commonly available again (and the price returns to pre-pandemic levels). Will you be offering this or a successor version sometime in 2023?

Regards.

Sure.
I have two successors which utilize high resolution HDMI touchscreens, the R23-MAX and STEALTH (temporarily unavailable until Jan 2023). For more details please visit my YouTube channels below:

Hi Sheldon,

Just an update, R23-MAX works with Roon now.

Vincent,

Just wondering if you've come across an easy way to install the full-featured peppymeter
that combines VU meters with album art on any of the players?
I found a plugin for Volumio but even though it has nice meters there's no album art.
