Holy !@#$...impressive.
well thanks, i think there are more impressive builds out there by DIY but for a first try i am certainly happy.. although i only used them for an hour... a friend has them on loan from the week after haha, using them instead of his beyer dynamic 770 studio headphones at least they are being used instead of laying around here

I tried the beyerdynamic 770's before putting on a set of planars for the first time, and I've never looked back. It would be a travesty for those phones to end up just laying around, collecting dust. Should that ever be the case, I just might know someone who would give them ample use. he he he

haha ur right at least they are used now hope he has fun with them until i part from them to make other projects possible
Great work as always, Joppe!
I really enjoyed the videos and that you also share your mistakes.
I've been thinking of doing some DIY headphones myself (AMTs of course), but I would like to be able to measure first.
Making my headphone stand into a dumpkopf with a UMIK-1 is one option.
But then I would't know how the headphones are supposed to measure in that rig,
so I guess that I have to make some reference measurements first of some good sounding headphones.
Any thoughts on this?
