Okay, then for a common plating thickness, would you expect much of a change in resistance? It seems to me that it would have to be a relatively thick plating to cause much of a difference.

No, that was my point. If you see a difference, it will be at RF. At low frequencies, the plating is insignificant, and that is, in fact, what Pedro found.
Remember guys this is high strand count count wire, where each strand is about the thickness of a RCH.
whatever the core or plating is, for the non "pure" grade is unknown but measures ever so slightly better than aluminum alloy.
