I'm running that JBL sub with a moral sub and a small 8 inch sub. The JBL sub is the predominant sub and it sounds wonderful I would do it again in a heartbeat. You don't need much power I think even the 500 to 800 watt subwoofer amp would be just fine
Should be fun. I will run them with a QSC 1850HD amp for now. Been looking at these for quite some time. Next project will be a DIY version of the JBL Pro VTX-F12 w/ a JBL 2269 thrown in (3 way design, 2269 added in at around 250 Hz) for fun. Will be awhile, no need in my current location.
Look at building a Wayne Parham 4pi pair with the jbl 2226h 15" woofer and b&c de250 horn. Excellent!!!!
