Hello all,
Just finished a ess9028 dac. It has been a long project..been stalled for a year and not really finished 🙂
But enough to play with it.
A strange problem with the output.
if i put one rca from Dac all is fine, doesn’t matter if it’s left or right channel. Both play fine. So stereo output from Dac seems ok.
But when i connect both left and right at the same time left channel dies But right play.
any idé?

Maybe you reversed signal and GND of one channel? Mmm that sounds not logic, sorry. Could occur with floating outputs so with output transformers.
That sounds very logical to me - whether it is possible depends on the design. It would have to be the left channel that has signal and ground swapped.
Thanks, you were spot-right.
i swap gnd/+ on the dac output on one channel.
all fine now 👍😊
thank you
