Hello, inspired by thoughts on one point speakers I took what was lying around from other projects and came up with these great sounding speakers...
Fane 15" 400 paired with a no name tweeter
Separated at 3000Hz with 1st Order Butterworth 2 way crossover design
The funnel combines all frequenzies to a very satifying hearing bath...
It also serves rizing the mids very much...
I hear the Tannoy Autograph approaching...🙂
Next summer I will try a simular enclosure but with open back...like here:

Slightly changed again... and 99% finished...
Now: BMS 4524 Driver with Faital Horn
Now: 10uF and 0.68... so, separated at 2000 Hertz... sounds much better!

nice - what are the dimensions of your waveguide/"funnel"? - reminds me of Frazier's excellent sounding CAT40 which used an 8" woofer and little horn
Hi, I must emphasis that I built it just from site... ehhh, I mean looking at the Tannoy speaker and doing something simular...
Well, inner front dimensions are 19" wide and 28" high
inner back dim. are 12" x 12"
The side funnel depth is ca. 7,5"
Top and bottom depth is ca. 11"
Actually, it is hard to remember how I did it, because I have no drawings...
I did most of the work just with my inner eye...
But I must say, they sound fantastic open and detailed with a lot of warmth...
I will not build an enclosure! The open back gives the sound much air!

Actually a brush, yes, but waterpaints! And on REAL WOOD you can still see through and enjoy the typical natural growth lines... with branch building artifact and all...hahahaha

Well, they went up in smoke... hahaha ... sold the speakers and burned the wood...
Now I built some Hiraga Onken with Beyma 15XA38Nd...
Never heard such great performance... and the bass is incredible !!!!!

Fair enough🙂 Nice coaxials you have. I had Eminence Beta12CX with Selenium D210Ti drivers for quite some time and I like coaxial speakers.
