That's cool, nothing wrong with going out of the norm!
After I finish my 400watt 1280x1024 HD setup, I plan to make some small HUD-type projectors for my boost guage and most likely one that can project from the trunk and cover the front window for when I am parked and want to watch a movie or play some video games. This is a fast car so weight is a concern, going to try and make them TINY, around a 6" cube would be fine and I know just how to do it.
