hi i want to make my own car alarm-
but is it easier to buy a uniden for 50$ US/.
our 1991 nissan pulsar has been broken into a few times im getting sick of it-i dont think they are awesome thiefs cos they cant start it,but why would the fuseholder be open?
i was thinkn of makn it myself-
a switch-immobiliser eg : if park lights arent on it wont start..
also an alarm goes off <car horn> if a certain condition not met <eg button to be pressed> within say ten seconds .-thats the important one,the alarm going off
i thought about using the 'door open' signal as an input too-
so door opens,
ten second timer
button must be pressed to disarm alarm.
due to the short time, and the element of surprise,i think it would work
also the surrepticious nature of the switch
:-D
perhaps even the SAME trigger as for the immobiliser
a radio remote is not DIY enough, not easy enough.-
but i would like one so that i know when the alarm is going off-=
i think its easier to get a uniden straight away!
