diy bybee quantum purifiers?

EMC - Electro magnetic compatability, belive it or not in the world of electronics (especially classified, aerospace and medical) is a whole field of study, which is important in todays noisy electrical world.
I suspect and have alluded to that this is some form of EMI filter, have a looki around.
I dont understand why we have to look for magical phenomina or even Quantum physics for an answer, or is it the answer is to simple and therefore not of audiophile quality.
Looking around at some of the stuff available and the claims (and prices) of what they do are out of this world. Why make things more complex I wonder, at the end of the day in audio we are only playing with a small section of the frequency spectrum, yet some seem willing to embrace some way out stuff and surreal claims.
The information givien out about these purifiers, read (excluding the quantum parts) like a description of standard EMC devices, transferring unwanted energy from one form to another, in this case electrical noise to heat.

Geez Scott, you got something you want to tell us?

😀 As SY suggests Thorsten must be missing a few details. AFAIK there is no law requiring a US court to enforce a foreign judgement. This is not special to the UK, a US citizen can petition a Canadian court to enforce a judgement and the court is free to deny it. The bill quoted would prevent the court from ruling in favor if a US law was not violated this is a very different thing.

This has probably gotten far enough OT, but I was mistaken, international treaties compel courts in some cases to enforce foreign judgements unless they violate certain criteria.

In any case...

"The phenomenon, known as "libel tourism," is not a new one -- Russian politicians and businessmen used London as their libel headquarters in the 1990s to bring suit against Forbes magazine. Luckily for the U.S. media, though, American courts have thus far refused to enforce any foreign libel judgments."

Well, Scott, I know that I don't know everything, but it sure would be a lot easier for Jack just to put a wire around or through his device, just like one would do with a ferrite bead, rather than shop for resistors.
I have shopped for resistors with Jack Bybee, about 15 years ago. First, it was small wirewound power resistors of .25 ohms or so, preferably non-inductive, then it was Beryllium metal resistors, (source unknown), now it is carbon based resistors (source unknown, but very tricky construction). The parts have changed from being the size of large fuses (with platinum end caps) to only .025 ohms, resistor size things wrapped in something. Jack Bybee does use EMI tape around the outside of the units before adding shrink-tubing. The thru-path has changed from a power resistor in parallel to the Quantum device (pre-made somewhere in the USA) that we had to use fuse holders with, because we could not solder to the platinum, to putting a miniature, lower value high speed resistor inside the device itself, in order to improve performance, to completely assembled units from somewhere in the USA, that are very tiny in comparison to the original units.
I have samples, here at my lab. I will show them to Joachim, when I see him in a few weeks. Then he can tell you more.

Well, everyone, let us now change the subject to ballistic or quantum resistors. Could they possibly exist? What would their properties be? Are they REALLY zero Johnson noise at audio frequencies? Is this a hoax originally generated by the Dutch university professors? Or is this the greatest thing since Type 1 superconductivity developed by the Dutch? Enquiring minds want to know!
