hi guys!!! wassssssap ?????????? 🙂
I am helping a friend setting up his home theater/music system.
Now we are up to a point, where amplification needs is required!!
( who doesn't requrie amplification neway ? 😛 )
So i sugested him with DIY amplifier kits.
I know that some really good stuff are just waiting for me to get my hands dirty on em.
So what i need from you guys,
is to point me to good quality good power DIY amplifier kits/modules ...
we need to make a 5-6 channel amplifier
power requirements are min 100Wpeak in 8ohm
needs to support 4ohm
would prefer in the 150-200W @8ohm range
I was looking at Class-D amps!! seems nice for the size and pricing!!!
Audio quality needs to be high, but not the highest!!
anything below 1% at full power will be more than acceptable!
but i'd like some good stuff!!
so please, point me to sites or companies
that offer kits or already assembled modules to base an amplifier on !!!
I'd prefer if this would be to encourage memebers of this board!
( if there are any here offering such items! )
thanks all again 🙂
i'll take all suggestions !!!

i don't quite get their website ..
i mean
i understand abit what they are explaining about their Z amp
but what about it ? do they sell kits?
or is there kits based on their chips available somewhere?
as i said, i don't have too much time to research all this
so i need some kits, or partly assembled modules ..
thanks

Be hard to go past Greg Ball's SKA amplifiers -

There are two models ideally suited to high performance DIY use.
and he has a multi-amp special on.
I'm building a pair of the 150 watter , just waiting for Greg's new chassis that'll be out in a couple of weeks.

The hypex amps from www.diycable.com look and sound great. It would be a good sounding, and most importantly, easy to build kit.

ok i'm interested in the Hypex amps kits ..
we'd go with the 180 modules ..
for 2 modules per pair of speakers
then would you guys recommend to get their "ST" power supply?
they say that it runs 2 180 modules on 1 power supply
only the transformer is required
should we get a really good trnasformer then ?
or a reagular cheap one will suffice?
i do not know the extent regulation of their small PSU board ..
what would you recommend?
we have to keep this not too $$$$ if possible
