Is it possible and practical to build an AD/DA Converter
I would like Aes in and out, Stereo balanced in and out. I would also like it to receive wordclock, It does not need internal clock.
How to go about this?

How to go about it will all depend on your design knowledge. This would not likely be a trivial design and build effort. Given the many possible solution paths, I can only offer you the following general advice:
1) If you are highly knowledgable - I'll assume not likely, since you are asking the question - then you could design the device from scratch.
2) If you are not highly design knowledgable, but are skilled in board layout and SMD component soldering, sesrch for a suitable free web schematic and build that.
3) If you are merely competent at soldering, I suggest you search for a suitable ready made kit (one with the SMD components already mounted to a PCB) to construct.
