Moderator: Please feel free to move this if this isn't the appropriate place.

I have built several amps now. They are all push pull.

#1 6N9S-6P3S based on the Acrosound 6L6
#2 was initally a push pull parallel 6P3S, and now it's a fixed bias KT88 AB1 UL. Based on OP in datasheet
#3 was made with junk parts as a goal to make a decent amp for the lowest cost. (6P1P) Based on Acrosound 6L6
#4 is based on the research of Shoog, George of tubelab, and John Broskie of Tubecad.com and it uses 12AV5GA tubes triode connected, toroidal power transformers as OPT, CCS cathodes. 310V B+ 70ma, -27V C- (combo bias)
#5 is a tetrode connected class A tetrode amp with 6P3S with the OP lifted from the datasheet but increased B+ to 300V
#6 is a KT120 triode connected class A amp (with the odd excursion into AB a la Broskie) CCS cathodes.

All amps use a Williamson frontend.

Cathode Bias with a Counstant Current Source
6AV5 Sweep Tube | Tubelab

If anyone on these forums who lives close to Toronto has a distortion analyzer etc I'd love to see how good these amps really are compared to my ears.

Cheers
