The late Taiwans are totally almost different chip to me (clearer, thiner but snappier... strange to describe)

I completely agree with your description, the Taiwan chip has though, (to me at least) a little less of the liquid "moving coil" type musicality and "fullness", but it does depend on the machine (or design) it's used in. I suppose my ideal would be a combination of both, slightly biased toward the Taiwan chip.
