I shall not mention any names, but would just like to point out that it is very annoying to spend time replying to a query only to find a few hours later that the originator has deleted the thread. Presumably, having received a reply, the originator does not wish to have his/her lack of knowledge seen by other members and visitors to the site.
However, one of the benefits of an open forum is that many people can learn something from the replies posted and therefore the time taken in composing these becomes better spent.

Leaving your thread is a good thing because if ever someone has the same question, they can just search the forum and get answers without waiting. At least that's what I do, it's quite helpfull.
I have changed the user options so that you can't delete threads that you have started.
If a thread really needs to be deleted, please contact either grey or myself.
If there is anything else that comes up like this please feel free to send me an email at jason@diyaudio.com and I won't miss it!

Sounds great Jason good point .... I know i've been guilty of this twice i think since i joined 🙂
Also, per my comments in another thread, you now have 10 minutes to edit any thread or post that you make before it gets set in concrete and you can't delete it. I think that is only fair when you consider the time people take to respond to your post.
