Diode identification please

Can anyone identify this diode and it’s values for me please, I cannot find a schematic so this is my last resort I believe.

Sorry, it’s from what most will consider a waste of effort piece of equipment but I’m determined to bring it back to full working condition.
Denon UCD-F88 , CD player separate from a midi system, I believe ( or hope ) that the diode is responsible for the dim display.

It's called ZDsomething, so it is probably a Zener diode. Judging by its size it must be a 400 mW or 500 mW Zener. The photograph is too vague to see what the Zener voltage is.

Off topic: I see you are from Milton Keynes, I love the museums at Bletchey Park.

You first need to know what the correct Zener voltage is. If it is used as the reference for some sort of voltage regulator, a too high voltage could easily lead to damage beyond repair. Can you read any part of what is printed on the diode?
