any one know where I can get a digital transformer or two from ?

I assume you mean a pulse transformer, for SPDIF coupling? Try Newava S22083, available at digikey.
how about Sprague 11z2000

anybody used that pulse transformer
can be better than the newava

I use Mini-Circuits ADT1-6T.
It doesn't have enough current handling to meet the AES/EBU spec without terminating the input side of the transformer, but it's perfectly fine for SPDIF.
Just please don't use an Ethernet transformer...

Mouser has these.
C&D Technologies.

Anyone try them? Three different parts with windings for the different pulse widths.

update...
I have tried the DA101C. Data sheet in the message above.
It's available from Mouser. It works OK for 44.1 to 192K. I haven't given it an exaustive test.
It's cheaper than the Newava at Digikey.

Forgive my ignorance. What's wrong with an ethernet transformer?
The best ones are from Scientific Conversion. I used them in all my circuits and they are really good.

Jon from SC was our guest this year at the Burning Amp, and he demonstrated his jitter measurement and comparison of various digital transformers. You could clearly see the difference between various digital transformers in regards to his own.
