Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help?
I like to hook up my MegaWorks 510D to my DVD player which has a Dolby Digital 5.1 output.
The supplied digital cable from the 510D (Cambridge Soundworks) is a "Miniplug" to "Miniplug", and my DVD's digital output is an RCA connector.
Do I need an adapter?
Best Buy and Good Guys only had those "Optical" cables. I need a digital coax with an RCA to Miniplug connector? I think?
Thanks for your help.

You need adaptor. If you can't find one, you might remove miniplug and solder RCA plug directly to the cable.
Digital output connector question
Thanks for the info Peter.
I will look into getting an adapter. I did notice that my digital miniplug has 4 conductors?
I did send an e-mail off to Cambridge Soundworks with my question but no response from them yet. As soon as I get an answer I will post the solution to let everyone know. Perhaps
there are others out there with the same problem.
Thanks

The 510D uses 3 channel SPDIF to achieve 5.1 so you would need to electronically convert the signal from the DVD out to the suitable format.
