I have a Denon DCD 590, which is the little brother to their 690. The 690 has a digital ooutput but not the 590, though it's the samecircuit board without the digital parts stuffed. Which were just a 7400 chip and a cap and a pulse transformer. Take a look inside yours for unstuffed parts near the back panel.
I have oportunitie to bye Denon 560. It'll cost me I guess just few beers at local pub... , so I am also interested in issue.
I couldn't find on the NET which D/A converter Denon uses for DCD-560 model, so if anyone knows it would be nice...
It would be easier to find the signal path if you have datasheet for used D/A converter?
What would be complete schematics for implementing such output?

Anybody have info on this?
16 bit parallel input offset binary dac.
Can I not just take the digital signal going into this and dump it to an external DAC?
I supose you could but parallel input audio dacs are not very common these days and besides, I doubt you want to run 16+ cables to your external dac
