Hello I have a 4ch car amp JVC KS-AR8004D which is a class d amp and It has 4 rca inputs front/rear left/right.
I only have left and right out on my headunit so to run the back speakers I bridged the front and rear inputs on the circuit board inside the amp but now it’s only mono 🙁
Are digital amps different to the older amps as that use to work haha
In theory it should work as both front and rear are getting the same stereo signal BUT then I could be missing something here.
That’s how I bridged it on the board: signal front to signal rear and ground front to ground rear.
I think it may have something to do with that if you just plug one rca into the left ch it automatically switches to mono mode so left and right then get signal???
Cheers guys

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
It is the way the sockets are wired with the Mono/Stereo switch internally, if you wire four plugs on the outside and restore the internals, then connect left front to left rear and the same for the right, you should have stereo again. It is usual however, to pair front right with rear left and front left with rear right.
